1.  Whether you are in a business or a job, cash flow is king.

I feel blessed to be involved in a business I love. Teaching financial literacy is something that I love. However, this does not mean you should give up your day job just yet. Our emotions are so open to greed and fear that if you did this you’d be making one of the biggest cardinal sins of trading. No matter how solid and accurate the guidelines and systems are you will need to learn to apply them in real market situations, and this period will be your learning phase.

In my observations of people (myself included), it has become clear that the best traders are the ones who are sound financially and are not trading or investing on the financial edge. Even for my wealthy clients that are just starting to learn about trading, I teach them to start with only a small amount of money first. Even if it is just $2000.

If your income does not support a minimum of 10% cashflow per month that you can use for investments, then you seriously need to consider an alternative career. It is important to plan your spending and develop positive cashflow, which can then be funnelled into wealth creating investments.

To create wealth you must have a good cash flow… and invest in assets. This is a path which has led many ordinary, everyday people to long-term wealth. Developing multiple passive income streams will ultimately give you financial freedom.

2.  Invest Your Profits into Assets

This is so logical but yet so few people do it. I bought my first investment property at 18. My friends at the time were struggling to decide which nightclub they should go to next.

When you have a profitable business (or a well paying job) the best thing for you to do is to seek ways to maximise those profits. It is also wise to get education on what it is you are looking at investing in! Most people do more research in planning their holidays than what they do for planning their wealth strategy.
